Lately I've been spending TWO WHOLE DAYS putting together each issue of my online newsletter E-SUETERRY-C. The articles are first written in a text program, then when it's more or less together I go to the "Pages" program on my MacBook and configure the layout. I insert the text I've written, and look for appropriate photos in my computer. (The photos are usually taken with my Palm Centro cellphone, because I always have it with me and if I see an interesting shot I can take it right away.)

Some of my readers have asked me why I spend so much time writing this free e-zine. Obviously I have a pretty busy life, what with playing, composing, writing magazine columns and books, studying martial arts, taking care of my two cats and two dogs, etc. The answer is, I don't really know. It just seemed like something I should do. As I've been writing these articles, I realize they would make a great book, so after I finish 52 issues (one year's worth) I will be ending this project (releasing it in book format) and starting on something new.

George Classon is the author of a famous book called "The Richest Man in Babylon." In this tale, the characters learn that if they want to be able to earn a decent living as well as provide for themselves and their families in old age, they must follow the "rules of gold." One of these rules is, give away a minimum of 10% of your income. I've been doing it, and instead of having less money, I seem to have more. Weird. I recommend it!
